New publication from the AIDA Network: Long-term outcomes of IL-1 inhibitors in Schnitzler syndrome
We are pleased to announce the publication of a new study from the AIDA Network Schnitzler Registry, providing valuable real-world evidence on the long-term effectiveness and safety of IL-1 inhibitors in patients with Schnitzler syndrome (SchS), a rare autoinflammatory disease.

The study, based on data from the international AIDA Registry, analyzed 28 patients and 37 treatment lines with anakinra or canakinumab. Results confirm the high effectiveness of IL-1 blockade in controlling disease activity, with durable responses observed over five years of follow-up. The research also identifies clinical factors—such as elevated IgG M-protein levels and lymphadenopathy—that may influence treatment response and long-term drug retention.
These findings represent a significant step forward in understanding and managing Schnitzler syndrome, highlighting the importance of collaborative, registry-based research within the AIDA Network.
