Myocarditis in Still’s Disease: Findings from the AIDA Network Registry

A multicenter study from the AIDA Network Still’s Disease Registry has provided valuable insights into cardiac involvement in Still’s disease, with a focus on myocarditis. Among 73 patients with cardiac manifestations, pericarditis was the most common feature, affecting 90.4% of cases. Myocarditis, present in 26.0%, was linked to a more severe clinical profile, including higher systemic scores, increased rates of skin rash and pleuritis, and elevated mortality. Skin rash and systemic score emerged as independent predictors of myocarditis. These findings highlight the need for vigilant monitoring and tailored management in patients at risk for severe cardiac complications.
