Drawing on the collective expertise of uveitis specialists from around the globe, this survey serves as a critical barometer for the current diagnostic and therapeutic landscapes of monogenic uveitis. The survey reached out to an extensive network of professionals, successfully identifying a series of diagnostic and therapeutic gaps: advanced genetic techniques and targeted therapies, although increasingly available, have yet to fully penetrate the standard practice, pointing towards an evident need for enhanced interdisciplinary communication and knowledge sharing.
Establishing the "Genetics in Uveitis" group under the aegis of the IUSG stands out as one of the most significant outcomes of the AIDA Network-IUSG cooperation.
