Adalimumab Proves Effective in Children with Uveitis: New AIDA Network Study Published
A new article has been published in Frontiers in Pharmacology, titled "Adalimumab Monotherapy or Combination Therapy With Methotrexate in Paediatric Uveitis: Data From the AIDA Network Uveitis Registry"

The study is based on real-world data from the AIDA Network Uveitis Registry and compares the effectiveness of adalimumab (ADA) alone versus in combination with methotrexate (MTX) in children with noninfectious uveitis (NIU).
The results show that ADA monotherapy may be as effective as combination therapy in preventing relapses and preserving visual acuity, with a comparable safety profile and treatment retention over 36 months. A significant steroid-sparing effect was also observed, particularly in the combination group.
These findings support the potential role of ADA monotherapy as a valuable option in the therapeutic strategy for paediatric NIU.
