Dear Colleagues, these are unprecedented times for rheumatologists and ophthalmologists dedicated to ocular autoimmune and autoinflammatory diseases, for the novelty and the fertility of the international scientific panorama in this field of research. It has become clear that a correct diagnosis, a reasoned systemic work-up and the choice of appropriate ocular and systemic immunosuppressive therapies rely on a close collaboration between complementary specialties.The fourth day of the AIDA International Meeting will go through the most recent findings on diagnosis and treatment of noninfectious uveitis and scleritis, both isolated and in the context of systemic immune-mediated disorders. The final goal of the meeting is to foster discussion and knowledge exchange among international colleagues from the network and lay the groundwork for future collaborative studies based on the AIDA registries for ocular autoimmunity.
