Welcome to the third day of the 7th AIDA International Meeting, which will go into one of the core topic of the AIDA project, that is monogenic autoinflammatory diseases (mAID).
Monogenic AID are group of relatively new clinical conditions characterized by recurrent unprovoked inflammatory attacks involving a variety of tissues and organs, due to the presence of mutations in genes involved in the regulation of the innate immune system and of the inflammatory response.
The mAID registry is the first effort made within the AIDA project and is running since august 2020. The registry collects demographic, genetic, clinical and therapeutic data about mAID through a web-based international biomedical platform for research purposes. The meeting will be an occasion to show the results of the first studies born under the auspices of AIDA and to introduce new study proposals from the network, based on the mAID registry.
At the same time, high level education will be provided thanks to the lectures held by a renowned international faculty on the most relevant themes about mAID, and also with regard to the cutting-edge issue of SARS-CoV2-related systemic hyperinflammatory syndromes.
We are therefore delighted to welcome you to an innovative, exciting, and lively congress committed to pursue the AIDA mission, which is dedicated to advancing the care and improving the health and well-being of people with autoinflammatory disorders.
